Valentine's Day Special
20% off consultation fees.  See consultations for more information.  A great gift for someone you love that doesn't collect dust and isn't fattening!

Cutting out paper hearts and decorating them made Valentine's Day special at our house.  Wallpaper from old wallpaper books and white, red and pink paper made our valentines beautiful. One year we put all the hearts on 6 three foot long ribbons.  These created a very festive air above our kitchen table.

An easy poem for someone on Valentine's day is an acrostic one using the person's name.  Here's an example:
Mostly cooking
Or baking cookies
My mom makes the kitchen smell good.

Happy Valentine's Day!  May your heart be filled with love!

January Special

The days are slowly getting longer in my part of the world. And my snowdrops are blooming; I love the way they smell!

For some people this time of year is less than inspiring. The excitement of the holidays are over and winter looms. I’m offering a special January coaching/consulting rate with savings of $15/hr. So if you’re bogged down and need an injection of new perspective and fun in your homeschooling adventure, give me a call. I'm available to offer comments from the sidelines to help you regain perspective, remind you of your skills and/or help you explore new ones. A gift that doesn’t collect dust!

Special January rate only:

Coaching for adults - $30/hr by phone with a free 10-minute intake interview. Save $15/hr. Click on Consultations

One of the gifts I received during the holiday season was a call from my local library (the Greater Victoria Public Library). The children’s library department asked me to present two sessions of my Games to Play With a Baby program during literacy week in January, 2006. I’m excited and thrilled to be asked. I developed the program about 4 years ago. Two children’s librarians who were guests attended my classes at different times. Each one told me how much they enjoyed what I did and how much they learned in the one class they visited. My next goal is to offer a workshop for children’s librarians to add to their repertoire of material and ideas for their own baby time programs.

All the best to you and your family and all families on the planet in the year 2006!

Marty

May the longtime sunshine on you, all love surround you.  And the pure light within you guide your way home!
