“I came to Marty because I was feeling very unsure about my homeschooling and parenting. I found Marty very easy to talk to and non-judgmental, which was very important for me. … The best thing I took away from my conversations with Marty was the need to trust myself. Thank you, Marty! I look forward to future conversations with you.”

    Why choose me?
  • my years of experience as a homeschooling mom
  • my ability to listen
  • my sense of humor
  • my perspective
  • my perception
  • my patience

"I've talked to many people about the issues I've had with my in-laws. Your wise observations and suggestions plus your ability to listen made all the difference. We had the best visit ever. Thank you so much!"

How does it work?
Contact me by email (remove the spaces) info @martylayne .com and give me an idea of what you are looking for. I'll email you and let you know if I can help. Coaching is done by phone or Skype.  We'll find a mutually agreeable time

You purchase a coaching session in increments of 1 hr through Paypal before our first session. I recommend that you commit yourself to 2 sessions to reap all the benefits of being coached.
During our coaching session, I listen and make suggestions for you to use to explore your value system and your goals in educating your children at home or in parenting. Each coaching session begins with a look at the effect of your actions during the intervening time.
Coaching is all about finding your strengths as well as areas that need to be developed. A coach helps you to explore these. You, of course, are in charge of where you go with any suggestion.
Personal coaching can be a helpful tool to help you to discover what’s important to you and what isn’t, what feels comfortable to you and what doesn't. Coaching is not counseling nor is it advising. Instead, coaching is having someone on your side, cheering you on and giving you feedback to help you use all of your talents and gifts. It is future oriented not past focused.  Some people find a one session is enough, others prefer four. And still others find they like the security of a longer commitment of a month or two to help them make the changes they want to make.
