Custom Waldorf type dolls made just for you.

Let me make a special little doll for a special person in your life - suitable for children 5 and up

Each unique weighted doll is approximately 12-14 inches tall with jointed movable arms and legs.  Each part of the doll's body and head is made with two layers of cloth.  The inner layer is white cotton knit, the outer layer is organic creme or tan cotton knit.

Standard filling is wool roving.  I can also fill them with a polyester fibrefill made from recycled plastic if you wish.  I add an inner enclosed pouch of budgie gravel or sand to give the doll weight.

  The importance of play
From Learning At Home -  Creating a Learning Environment -Chapter 2 page 59
"Play gives children primary experience to draw on as they get older.  A child learns about numbers and the one to one correspondence of numbers as he plays with Lego blocks, dolls, or other toys.  A child who has not had experience manipulating objects and not been allowed time to observe the relationships of objects - i.e., that three objects are three objects no matter how they are arranged cannot understand the concepts of arithmetic.
"Play - inside and out of doors, imaginary, mentally or physically active - is vital to a child’s developing intellectual powers and creative abilities.
