I had a lot of fun today, Nov. 24th, at the GNS Holiday Fair. Lovely watching the smiles on people’s faces from young ot old as they saw my daughter’s beautiful tree homes and my needle felted snow friends, owls, and angels.
One more fair on Dec. 8th at Campus View School here in Victoria, BC. If you are interested in a needle felted snow friend, owl or angel, and live far away, I will ship things to you but I can’t guarantee it will arrive before Dec. 25th. email me at martylayne @ gmail.com remove all of the spaces and tell me what interests you and I’ll send you photos of the items that interest you. .

Needle felted snow friends fill up my mantel joining squirrels and owls who await to be presented at the Glenn Lyon Norfolk School craft fair on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 10 – 4. Free admission. Located in the Gudewill Gym at the Pemberton Woods Campus in the 700 block of Richmond Ave. I’ll have copies of The Happy Snow Friends Counting Book for sale there, too. My angel display is still a work in progress. I am so pleased to be using branches of hazel wood that my husband pruned from the hazel bush that live squirrels planted for us. My plan is to string some tiny lights on the branches that will light up the angels and make everything look festive. If you’re in Victoria on Saturday, Nov. 24, I hope you’ll come by and say hello.
I’ll also be selling Christmas Time – Harp and Marimba (20 familiar carols) recorded by my two musician sons. “With unusual timbres ringing out from harp and percussion, Layne brothers Josh and Robin bring new sparkle to old carols in their delightful CD, Christmas Time. Both musicians seem to be having a jolly good time!” – Sylvia Rickard, Canadian Composer Their music is timeless and adds a new dimension to the music of Christmas. They also have a shortened digital version on CD Baby. You can listen to clips there.
