My children are all adults now. I wouldn’t trade the years we spent together learning at home for anything. We were rich in experience, relationships, time, and books. I read outloud to my children many hours a day and learned lots of things – from how roads are built to how to fold efficient paper airplanes.

In the process of being a stay at home homeschooling mom, I learned as much as my children. So, I wrote a book to answer people’s questions about homeschooling Learning At Home: A Mother's Guide To Homeschooling, the third edition was published in August, 2007.

The second edition of Learning At Home  was translated into Indonesian and published in that counrty in 2005.  As far as I know it is the only homeschooling book written in English to have been translated in its entirety into another language.  

I recorded Brighten the Day – songs to celebrate the seasons, a collection of songs that celebrate the natural world and the delights of being outside.  They were songs that I sung with my children when they were young. 

I’m an Internationally Certified Infant Massage Instructor and teach ongoing infant massage classes in Victoria. I developed a program from my infant massage classes to encourage new parents to sing and play with their babies. I run that program locally and teach the program to others through workshops throughout North America.
